.I usually keep my fw plugged in with external keyboard and mouse so this problem might be there for 3 days as well as two weeks.
The module is properly plugged in. As a matter of fact if I slide it out I get the “missing input modules” message.
The keyboard works just fine. I took off the mid plated, put I back and still nothing.
I dual boot win 11 and a very recent version of caches and no sign of presence. It just does not exist.
On a side note I do not use the original touchpad plate because I didn’t like the side bars however this was never a problem. Been using it for a years at least.
Any help would be much appreciated!
What does this mean? Did you buy a new one? Did you 3d print one?
If you 3d printed one, there is a higher chance of overloading the i2c bus with static electricity due to grounding issues, causing it to stop functioning permanently. Happened to me a few times. You might be able to get it back by powering off, pressing the power button like 20 times (quick power cycles). Basically a mainboard reset. Most of the time that worked to fix it for me. I have stopped using my 3d printed cover due to this, until I have the time to figure out how to properly ground it.
Ok good to to hear this I had no clue about it. I still have another 3D printed. Sadly I can’t use the original Because I am missing a spacer.
Will update asap!
