Hello all, just got my Desktop last week and after a few issues i am up and running (PSU whining too ). I am running the 64gb Vr on windows 11 and was trying to find some tips or a guide for setting up things further. Other than putting the power mode on performance I’ve just been setting up my accounts and testing a few games out.
Sadly my PC skills are very out dated as i have been using an old laptop for a long time and i am somewhat out of my depth.
I know windows can be quite a system hog and would like to optimize as best i can so any tips or as i said point me towards and good guide would be great!
Would also like to reallocate my ram, i was thinking 32/32 would be best as i will be mostly gaming with this unit, thoughts?
About the fan whine should i bother to report it or wait for a fix? Are we expecting there to be one eventually? It doesn’t bother me too much but i don’t think i could tolerate it forever. I’d rather wait for the official fix than get into anything myself just yet.

To optimize Windows 11 for gaming, I will leave you 2 great YouTube channels that have a ton of resources on this topic.
You can adjust the RAM in the BIOS, or just leave it on Auto (default); it knows where to allocate it when needed for the GPU.
Regarding the fan whine, there is really no solution; you can report it to FW, but you might get a new unit with the same issue, as many people did. The only solution for them is to come up with an upgraded version. There are people who have taken apart the PSU and upgraded the fan, but you should only do this if you know 100% what you are doing, as you could even die if not.
