This thread is about getting the most out of the built-in speakers of the Framework 13. The built-in speakers have come with their own challenges : they’re small, firing downwards, they happen to have some nasty resonances. The EasyEffects profiles available in this thread (and another one linked earlier in the thread) exist to deal with these challenges. Using these profiles with something other than the built-in speakers is detrimental to the sound quality, as bone-conduction headphones and “big speakers” are physically radically different from the Framework 13 speakers.

You mean it’s not already well-tuned from the factory OOTB?
It sounds like it has tin cans for speakers. At least on Linux
That’s unfortunate. So much for trying to be the MBP for LInux users.
To be clear, the easyeffects profiles do help, I’m not sure why they can’t get the tuning profile like this by default
Understood. The MBP aspect in this regard is factory tuning and OOTB UX. i.e. MBP is more than just the barebone hardware.
100%. I’m not sure why Framework can’t get the tuning right OOTB, but it would go a long way to making this better. One of the last glaringly bad things about it
