Framework appears to not be available for argentina, but wanted to ask if anyone has tried and succeded installing Android on a Laptop 12?
I feel like it would be much simpler to use Waydroid or similar.
I’m tinkering with Waydroid currently. It seems to work generally, but there are some quirks, e.g. network access is bridged and appears as ethernet in Waydroid so that you can’t use apps that require direct P2P wifi (and you’re in a different IP4 subnet than the physical device).
What would be some use cases if I may ask? I wondered before if there were any android apps I wanted, but generally native Linux apps seem better.
I was wondering the same thing. I’d love for framework to make a tablet! It looks like there’s no good way to really run android on it though. The best bet is emulation but it’s pretty laggy and drains battery extra quick
Working in education, I sometimes encounter app-only offers by publishing houses etc. So while I prefer using linux programs, it’s still useful to have access to android apps on the same device. As long as I get around using the crappy iPad my employer equipped me with, I’m fine.
My FW12 has replaced my 2 in 1 Chromebook and although I used Android apps, I don’t miss any.
The Android app I used the most was NordVPN but the Linux app works just fine.
