After upgrading my framework 16 laptop with an Nvidia 5070 and updating firmware I can’t get my laptop to turn on! Does anyone else have the same problem?

How long have you let it sit there? I’ve never seen it happen, but I suppose it’s possible the RAM timings might be getting retrained, which could take like 30 minutes of just showing a black screen.

I experienced something similar - it sat there for several minutes, screen dark and just the power button indicating that it’s on.
I started regretting updating the firmware, but then it snapped back to life.

Is there a charging light when you plug it in or any sort of debug light when you, for example take off the keyboard? if not then something might be shorting a power-rail. Check the interposer and make sure the connector surface is clean.

Have you tried it without all the expansion cards connected? I had a similar problem with a new one (similar spec to yours) and it turned out to be a Logitech mouse wifi receiver in one of the USB A ports. Changing ports sorted it completely

Might sound weird, but potentially removing and re plugging the graphics interposer could work. I did that the first time I upgraded to the 7700s GPU because I had a similar issue occur, but it was more the system wasn’t recognizing the GPU. Not sure why it worked, but it somehow did for me.
