How come I haven’t been charged yet for my FW16?

Alright, so I have had placed my pre-order for the FW16 DIY Kit. Apparently People in my batch have been getting charged for their Laptops. But I still haven’t had mine happen yet?

For Context: I am in Batch 4 (I got RAM and SSD), but I also contacted support but I haven’t heard anything from them ether

so is it just a patience thing or is it something else that’s going on that I don’t know about?

If it’s still like the original batches, they process the batches in groups, each week iirc

Yeah I figured as much. Maybe I’ll just need to wait on it (I do tend to overthink a little bit)

Update: I did see another thread that it could be because they haven’t tried to get the payment yet because it isn’t ready to ship. So maybe it is just a patience thing. I also saw that they should send a email if it ended up failing on the payment front as well.

They have only just started charging batch 4, there are still folk in Batch 1 that haven’t been charged.

Unfortunately I think the memory requirements for RAM and SSD are the bottleneck, so shipments happen as the parts become available.

Yeah I kinda had a feeling the whole RAM And SSD Nonsense might’ve screwed with logistics a little bit too.

Granted it did also say it would take 3-18 days for payment before shipping. (So maybe I’ll start raising more alarms after the 30th of This Month)

But for now, I guess I’ll just need to hold my nerve and remain patient :slight_smile:

I’ll probably update this with a solved once the payment does come through too
