So I have had my 12 for a little bit now and I am running into a consistent issue where the 12 will go into a random tablet mode if I connect a screen or touch it in the wrong way. The biggest issue is that I suddenly cannot use my ketboard and trackpad. I really do not need the tablet mode touchscreen thing with this thing, I just needed a small laptop. How do I turn this off in Windows or the Bios? Im ready to chuck this thing back to Framework, I just dont wanmna spend the extra money for a 13 and really dont need something that big RN.

Go to settings, personalize, taskbar. Turn off optimize taskbar for touch input. There’s no direct way to turn tablet mode off. This is definitely more of a Windows OS issue, and there’s a question here that should help if it keeps switching to tablet mode.

I can’t tell if you want to turn off the touchscreen or tablet mode. There is a setting in the bios called “cyberdeck mode” which prevents the machine disabling the keyboard/trackpad when you fold the display back. See https://community.frame.work/t/fw-12-cyberdeck-mode/72338/8
I’m not a windows guy, but there is bound to be a way to turn off the touchscreen in the device manager.
