Hi all,

While testing half-length SD cards (so they don’t stick out of the expansion card), I broke the write-protect switch in my SD Expansion Card. Being cheap and lazy, I fixed it instead of replacing it.

Comparing it to a SanDisk UHS-II reader, I found the WP switch pins on the 21-pin socket. **Shorting pin 21 to pin 17** makes the reader always treat the card as writable, like a microSD. Card Detect is a separate switch, so this shouldn’t affect power consumption.

Check the pins with a multimeter before shorting anything. Also note that the lock slider on your cards will be ignored afterwards.

sorry for the bad photos.

I hope I posted this in the write place.
