While waiting for the first-party stylus to drop I’ve been putzing around with a HP MPP 2.0 Tilt Pen (which I don’t really recommend, though I have no idea if the mediocre experience has been the HP part or the MPP 2.0 part) and I noticed that not all programs seem to recognize pen pressure input. My experience so far has been:
On Linux (running Fedora 42 KDE): Krita and GIMP recognize pen pressure, MyPaint does not.
On Windows 11: Krita & Clip Studio Paint recognize pen pressure (though I had to switch from WinTab input to Windows Ink in program settings), MyPaint does not, Photoshop CS6 behaves in a bizarre way where using a stylus at all makes it ignore any further ‘clicks’ unless I move the touchpad)
I was wondering if anyone else has run into this kind of issue and knows how to get pen pressure sensitivity to work across the board. Is it an MPP 2.0 thing? I haven’t had much experience drawing on Linux before aside from an Intuous which worked plug & play so I have no idea where to start looking for solutions.
