Hello! I’m posting here because somewhat recently my 16 has been having some weird intermittent issues where something in the input modules is pressing and sometimes holding what I’d call “phantom” keys. It’ll sometimes switch tasks, and it often acts as if the left alt key is held down. It doesn’t seem to be only that, though, as occasionally it will register keypresses and once I managed to quit out of KDE entirely and get into a terminal prompt fullscreen (reminiscent of a DOS prompt). I don’t know which part of the input module chain is causing it, but I have to imagine it’s one of the keyboard, numpad, touchpad, or midplate.
I am using CachyOS, latest update (not sure exactly which that would be), with the 7940HS and a 5070 8GB(?) module. I have an ANSI Linux keyboard and a regular numpad as well. I’ve had this laptop for a little under 2 years I believe, so I don’t think any sort of warranty would apply. Just looking for suggestions on maybe ways to figure out which part is causing the issue or else if this is a known issue ways to remedy it.
