Is there a way to make the macropad execute a bash script when pressed?

this is DE/WM dependent, but you could set a macro pad key to a key you don’t use (like F13+) or a combination of keys, and then put a bash script on the hot key you map.

i don’t think this is possible on a hardware level with qmk, but setting it up as a keybind shortcut should work just fine.
