Issue with right speaker, due to audio board screw. Is it just me?

I encountered an issue where the right speaker would intermittently disconnect if you held the laptop from the right speakers’ position. At first I thought there must have been some bending that caused this. However after some disassembling and stress testing, it seemed the culprit was the Audio board (which is above the left speaker)?! Apparently after I loosened up the screw directly under the Audio Board the intermittent right speaker issue completely disappeared.

Has anyone encountered this issue? I thought about contacting support about it but maybe it’s just me who tends to tighten screws a lot, wanted to check if anyone else encountered it.

This sounds like there is a hairline crack in a trace on the PCB, and the extra stress of being tightened down is enough to open the PCB trace.

Contact support, you should be able to get a replacement speaker system.
