Laptop not sleeping (AMD 7640)

Hey Guys,

I bought my daughter a Framework 13 (AMD 7640) and the laptop does NOT sleep when I pull down the lid. I checked the Windows 11 settings and the “sleep on closing lip” switch is selected. She is not sure if this is a recent issue or something she hasn’t noticed until recently.

I replaced a pair of faulty speakers about 3 weeks ago. Not sure if that is related. Any tips would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum.

‘Sleep’, Hibernate and Power off are operated by a magnet when closing the lid.

Check you didn’t dispalce the magnet, which is near the left hand speaker.

Or something that interferes with the magnet

I went to wake up my Framework like normal but it would keep waking up but then going back to sleep and the keyboard/trackpad were sporadically working.
