NixOS 24.11 with Cinnamon DE. Using latest kernel (boot.kernelPackages = pkgs.linuxPackages_latest;) Everything seems to be running great.
7840HS CPU. I do wonder sometimes about my lack of heat or fan noise. Seems to be a common comment, and makes me wonder if I’m using my CPU to the fullest.

You don’t want steam running on the dGPU. It will waste tons of battery power just running in your system tray. Steam doesn’t need it. Just run your games on it instead.
I’m running the KDE Plasma spin of PCLinuxOS.
I just got my Framework 16 yesterday and already got Gentoo up and running on it. It’s been a much smoother process than with other laptops I’ve tried in the past; I’m loving how Linux-friendly the laptop is, even compared to things like Thinkpads and the like. The CPU compiles code much faster than the Ryzen 2700U in the Thinkpad A485 that used previously!
