# Microsd - aluminum graphite 2nd generation availability

Hi! I was seeing a lot of posts on the volatility on the memory and storage markets affecting supply on storage expansion modules, but I was wondering when the 2nd generation microsd modules would release. They seem to be supplied in prebuilts and DIY builds for current fw laptops, but buying the card seperately has been a struggle.

Is it better just to buy the current microsd module? It doesn’t really match the black chassis of the fw 13 pro, but its been a couple months since I first signed up for the restock notification and it hasn’t hit once. Help!

My use case is just for adding and removing songs from my dap’s microsd. So its not the highest priority either. \>\_\<
