I did a fresh install. The Wifi connects, but it says it‘s „eingeschränkt“ and I can not do anything online that way.
What works:
- Ethernet (did all available updates)
- phone hotspot
My home Network is a mesh with 2.4 and 5 and I use a fritz!box 7490.
Any ideas, how I could get Wifi running at home?
I had the same problem. I had installed Fedora 42 from an USB image, then updated the system. After the update wifi was not completely working. I could still connect to my wifi router, and some things were working (DNS, NTP, ping). But http requests were not working. Wired ethernet was still working with no problems.
This seems to be an issue in the kernel. I switched back to kernel 6.14.0 which was installed from the USB image (before the update). Then wifi was working again. The following page describes how to switch to an older kernel: Using an older kernel version in Fedora. However, if you want to follow these instructions you should have the older kernel already installed.
I tried a few things and came back to my network. I checked all settings and found out the mesh icon for my repeater got lost when I changed my subnet to get VPNs configured. I activated it and it works, finally. When an update caused the problem again all I had to do was activate and deactivate flight mode.
I had no further problems so far, but it took some time to find the problem.
