Omarchy is not a secure distribution and should be taken off the Linux installation options

For anyone worried about firewall issues, etc. I would highly recommend Safing’s Portmaster as well. It gives you fine tooth control over each process and what is specifically can access. I use it on all of my machines.

Heavily +1 the rec. I use it as well, can’t recommend it enough.

I think the discussion here is that regardless, the defaults should be sensible. Which isn’t a bad point to make, but also nothing stops anyone from making a fork of the repo.

It’s easier to provide support for the vanilla versions of any distro (so Arch, Fedora, Debian, etc) and then leave the rest to the community w/ some support channels.

This is completely inappropriate. Omarchy is a great distro for a lot of people and there is nothing fundamentally broken about it. Its just Arch with some defaults, a perfect base for people to customize to their liking or just use out of the box.
