I’ve contacted both Noctua and Seasonic with a possible modification alternative. Would either sell the Seasonic 1600W PSU grill separately? I plan to cut out the desktop side grill, and screw in a real Noctua grill…avoiding the 3D attachment breakage, and panel warping so many are experiencing. Fingers crossed.
Using a 3D printed Noctua side panel. The mounting tabs aren’t very good but there’s no doubt that it is quieter.
If you don’t want to print the whole side panel, you could just print the fan grill and use it to modify your current side panel
Neither will sell a grill separately, so no joy with this approach.
I’m looking forward to Framework developing a larger case (with a quiet psu) alternative of their own design as an up-grade….and, also, sell a Noctua-inspired, metal panel, since the 3D route has proven so problematic. They’ve done so many things well. It’s in their DNA to do better.
