Framework 13 Hardware/Software issues

I purchased a PreBuilt Framework 13 and its been leaving much to be desired out of the box. The first thing I noticed was that the camera would never show up. Regardless of if the privacy switch was turned on or not. The next big issues I ran into came from the data reading capabilities of the expansion cards. Plugging a micro sd card into the laptop gave me nothing. Plugging my phone cable into the laptop started to charge my phone but it didn’t register it as a device. Ive been looking everywhere for help but everything has pointed me at a “hardware” issue rather than a software issue. Im wondering if there is something I can do that’s not getting an entire new laptop.
