Please create a version of the current desktop that uses a mobile CPU (max 28W) and includes a network card with 4 to 6 ports of 2.5Gb Ethernet, with an optional 10Gb port. I believe many fans of your product would be excited to use it for always on home servers, as it would offer easy repairability, low power consumption, and, most importantly, quiet operation.

I don’t think Framework should do this. Nearly all home servers are low-performance for both CPU and LAN, and a £200 business-class mini PC will do the job. It won’t do very well for repairability, but customers generally won’t want to pay £2-3K for this requirement anyway. They should instead by refurbished machines, which recycles an old machine, and saves it from landfill.
A business machine can be set to go to sleep in the small hours, and then woken up with Wake On LAN. I think mine at suspend take 6W of power.
The current price of the Framework Desktop is about 1400$ which is about the same as the Minisforum MS-03. Both are significantly overpowered options. You could easily drop in a lower mobile CPU and save most users 200$ and still get a fairly small, quiet and easy to service computer.
The category of users buying a 200-300$ server will never buy a Framework device simply because they are priced out of a 1400$ device.
