The images may not be accurate but even if they were, how else would you make the old board operate? Unless you were planning on just throwing out the old board/recycling it which seems wasteful to me unless it were truly broken.
I wouldnât buy a new board unless it failed and then I wouldnât require the periferals.
Some will be like you, other will want to upgrade from a usable board. Either way, I donât think the pictures are accurate. I doubt they provide RAM with purchase. The heatsink is possible though.

I would have thought they should provide the heatsink/fan unit. new chip means new thermal requirements which a prior generation solution may not be correct/adequate.
