I have had an issue upgrading to the Qualcomm Wifi 7 Card, bluetooth audio doesn’t work.
I reset the computer, updated bios, downloaded most recent driver package, did a clean install of windows for this testing.
As other threads have said, disabling AMD BT Audio Device, makes audio work. But, the issue I had is with AMD BT Audio Device disabled, Teams does not recognize the bluetooth device as an available input and I don’t hear anyone else in the call.
So, AMD BT Audio Device disabled = desktop audio works but teams does not.
AMD BT Audio Device enabled = Teams audio/mic works but desktop audio does not.
As far as I can tell so far, this is a Windows issue. AMD BT Audio Device is enabled, and I of course get no audio playback. But when I open the sound panel (mmsys.cpl) and switch to the recording tab, audio works perfectly. When I close that window, or switch to a different tab, audio stops.
Likewise, if I open the camera app, and start recording audio playback works. Stop recording and I can no longer hear audio.
So this tells me something in windows is causing the issue. Posting here to see if anyone else has a solution. If I find the solution on my end, I will update the post to include it.

Playback immediately resumes whenever an application actively captures audio from the Bluetooth microphone.
Confirmed with:
- Recording tab in
mmsys.cpl - Windows Camera while recording
- “Listen to this device” enabled on the Bluetooth microphone
As soon as the capture stream stops, playback fails again after a few seconds.
This suggests the issue is related to the Bluetooth microphone (HFP) transitioning to an idle state rather than Bluetooth playback itself.

Installed OBS Studio. Setting my BT headset as default in OBS (audio mixer panel, Mix/Aux, Properties, select BT device instead of OBS using system default) Audio Playback works even without OBS actively recording/streaming.

Playback during any of the above mentioned scenarios is notably terrible - not at all what the quality should be. So… The only Bluetooth path that remains functional with the AMD BT Audio Device enabled is the hands-free/call profile?
To me this seems to be a hand-off issue? For whatever reason A2DP is not taking over stereo playback like it should… is what it seems like to me.
