I was running Ubuntu on my Framework 13 Ryzen AI 300 and was getting some strange graphics behavior on a few applications - screen blanking and clipping mostly. While the new kernel in Ubuntu 25.10 did NOT fix it, it seems that using Kubuntu-desktop did - all the graphics are clean now.

I’m using XFCE and that has seemingly amdgpu-related issues (frozen windows for hardware-accelerated apps like Firefox, Electron-based apps, or the whole window-manager freezing up).
I do wonder what’s the difference between Ubuntu and Kubuntu that makes the difference here between solid and flaky graphics….
