Laptop 16, AMD AI 300 Series, NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 5070
Using known working SD card and new from package card of same type, I can load files into the SD card with my work laptop without issue. When I try to load the same files into the same SD card, loading locks up and never finishes on the Framework laptop.
Anyone seen this before?
I have changed slots, I have tried other SD cards. All attempts work fine on the work laptop, but the framework seems to fail.
Suggestions for other diagnostics?
Is it simple as a specific driver I need to update?
Just off the top of my head, is there a USB SD card reader handy? Maybe try plugging that it and see if copying the same files fail. Could be a defective expansion card.
Also is this the regular SD card reader or the micro SD reader?
Good suggestion, this lead me to actually pull the adapter and put it on my work laptop to verify. Adapter works fine. Returned to my Framework and noticed something while attempting to load. Full size SD.
Files with the little cloud icon related to one drive had to evidently sync and be available locally before it dumped onto the SD card. I think that is what the whole issue was. Had to be patient.
