Gotcha, yeah that was my concern too. Well nice that they foresaw that being a problem and let you do it through the website. As much as I’m hoping for delivery this week I’m expecting next week, though I did get the free shipping.
@Cameron_Gray Ordered mine 8/25, also mid-i7, no RAM, no SSD. Only change was adding the power block/cable to my order. My preparing to ship email was Sept 8, the day after yours.

Unless I’m mistaken, a lot of the people just now being charged ordered in late July/early August. You both ordered late August, so I figure you should be charged soon.
I ordered on 8/15 and still haven’t been charged (though I did order with RAM/SSD).
The latest order date I’ve seen who has received their “we’re preparing to ship your order” email was Aug 7th. That was @thelumberjhack who reported they got their email yesterday. Might be a couple of weeks before they get up to Aug 24th/25th. I know the struggle, I also ordered on the 25th.
Got my email saying they successfully charged my card: ordered late July
@Cameron_Gray Sorry, should’ve specified the key part: nope, not yet. But I’ll be waiting anxiously for you to get yours, seeing the one day difference.
Card charged last night. Ordered July 27th I think. i5. contacted support to remove ram and ssd and added a couple of expansion cards.

@Chris_Eden I ordered 8/26 and still got nothing from Framework as of yet other than the pre-order confirmation and the preparing to ship your batch notification. I didn’t order any RAM or SSD but I did have my order changed to include an extra USB-A and HDMI card.
And I got charged this morning, + email saying it’ll ship in 1-2 days. Got a little anxious when I first saw the email they could not charge on the payment method I provided, but was able to fix the issue in no time, and I received the “shipping in 1-2 days” email. I was hoping that I’ll receive it during my PTO but I think I will get it next week.

I ordered on the 14th of August, but haven’t got an email besides the “Your batch is shipping soon” one. When did you order yours?
I just got mine and opened the box and I’m trying to start it but I can’t figure it out. The charger is in, the LED is not on, and the touchpad cable is connected properly. I’m not as tech savvy as most (got it pre built not diy) but I feel like I’m missing something obvious.

Are you 100% sure the laptop is receiving power from being plugged in? I’m not trying to be a smartass - the laptop won’t turn on because the battery is in a disconnect state until plugged in: Framework Laptop 13 Pre-Built Quick Start Guide - Framework Guides
Maybe check your adapter on a phone or another USB-C device? You can also try another USB-C expansion card if you’ve got one and/or another expansion port.
Ok I just tried it on my phone and it says its Charging Rapidly ! So the charger is definitely working.

Order shipped! Estimated arrival date of 9/17(friday) but i’m predicting it will be more like Monday or Tuesday. It can’t come soon enough!! Here’s a timeline for my order:
