Sleeping laptop

Hi all, just received my 2 FW12 very happy they both work very well but for one exception (on both).

I am running windows 11 on both but when I change the sleep setting for a longer period they both still fall asleep within a few minutes. Both laptop are at full battery and plugged in.

I tried various timing (30 minutes to never)

Any suggestions?

There could be some confusion here between screen blank and sleep. Try changing the screen blank settings too.

Also don’t ask how, I don’t use windows.

BTW I’m also learning Mint & Ubuntu so noob here also

How many minutes before it goes idle for you? I can’t test yet since I’m still running memtest but I can test to see if mines go idle too after.

When I don’t touch anything about 1 minute ± then the screen saver comes on.

I have found out the issue and it has been resolved.

Thankyou for your time. It was a windows 11 issue, a setting that I missed.

Go to….

Settings

Personalization

Lock screen

Screen saver ( I used bubbles)

In the box WAIT, I use 400 minutes and the Checked box (On resume, display logon screen)

Then Apply.

Also, I applied this

I change the sleep setting for a longer period 3 hours

With all the things that I checked, and did, I hope that this is the solution.

I just repeated this solution on my wife’s Framework Laptop 12 as well. And it worked.
