In preparation to receiving my Batch 8 Diy laptop on which I will be installing Ubuntu 21:10, also I have been following the Battery Life post with some interest.
Has anyone tried the “Slimbook Battery Manager” and is it effective in controlling battery consumption? the comments in “OMG Ubuntu” look good, I think it runs on top of TLP.
I’m in batch 8 as well but I’ve tried Slimbook Battery in a live environment (Ubuntu Budgie I think) on my Macbook and found it to scale atrociously while also looking a bit too “gaming” for my liking. Maybe at least the former is not the case on the Framework, but TLPUI might be a good alternative
