bootaa64.efi is a bootstrap for Arm64 based installs. The FW16 is x64 so a bootstrap EFI for aa64 won’t load.
You’ll need to download and use the ISO for x64.
thanks!
as you seem to know more about pc’s than i do, I have an xps and i wanted to transfer all my files to my new framework, any recommendations?
Personally, I’ll just dump the documents, photos, files, etc. I need to move to whichever intermediary media (USB flash drive, external HD/SSD, NAS, etc) is most convenient for me at the time.
Microsoft’s enterprise migration tool documentation recommends Laplink’s PCmover Express for small batches / non-enterprise users.
I have no experience with either FWIW.
I generally do like lbohn does. Whenever I switch to a new laptop, I just copy any files I need from the old computer onto an external SSD and then copy them to the new one once I have it all set up. Any programs I need, I just install fresh on the new system.
