@Loell_Framework The firmware is updated to the beta BIOS. I’ll try removing Firefox and installing the Firefox Flatpak to see if that makes a difference.
@Loell_Framework Welp, I don’t know what the hell is going on with the default shipped version of Firefox but Reddit is now fully functional it seems. Flatpak worked. Although, now hardware video acceleration isn’t. Neither was Wayland either but I just removed Xorg as an option in Flatpak permissions and now that Wayland is its only option, that works now! So how would I go about getting video acceleration working in Flatpak Firefox? I have the intel-media-driver
package already installed and that was all I needed before to get video acceleration working.
Edit: Found a Reddit post, I’ll see if it works.
Edit: It works. I’m not thrilled to see “force enabled by user pref” instead of the previous “available” as I don’t really like hacky workarounds but given that I met all previous hardware and software requirements, this seems to be my only option, especially since the built in version of Firefox was clearly broken in some way.
Try it with a new firefox profile for the integrated install, maybe your profile was just broken.
@Anachron Nah, it’s functional now. Besides, since I had to force override
to remove Firefox in the first place. Reinstalling it will result in an overlayed package and I hate doing that. I could install it in toolbox but that is also a hassle I can avoid by just using the Flatpak. It works so
