[Solved] - Red flashing light on laptop with no OS

I am trying to install Ubuntu on my laptop I bought with no OS, but when I try to boot it into my OS I get no display. I took the top cover off to check if the display cables were plugged in and noticed I’m getting a red flashing light. I checked online and it seems to be a battery code. My battery is plugged in and should be fully charged; when I plugged in the charger last night it wasn’t giving me this error code, but when I plug it in now it immediately starts giving me the same code.

I just bought this a few days ago and I really hope it’s not already broken. Can anyone give me some pointers on where to go from here?

I fixed it; It was flashing red with the charger plugged in due to me having the top cover off and the flashing red during startup was due to improperly seated RAM.
