Adding a split keyboard option would be a game changer in the laptop community!
Framework, if you can do this, I strongly believe you would have a whole lineup of support, I know I would be in there.
I would highly recommend taking a looking at Kinesis, their keyboards are great!
For some reason I instantly thought of disconnecting a split keyboard like Nintendo Switch Joycons and lounging on the couch with my laptop on the TV.

I like this idea a lot. I have my desktop set up with a split keyboard and a trackball between the halves… A split keyboard with a laptop, and a trackpad between the halves, would be great.
Bonus points if the top edge of the trackpad module has at least one row of 4 keys across the top, so I can keep the dedicated home / end / page-up / page-down keys for text editing.
