What’s the current status of alternative keyboard layouts for Framework laptops, particularly split ortholinear designs? Is there any chance of buying one in the coming months?
Ergonomic keyboards are gaining popularity, and I think a split ortholinear keyboard module would be a compelling addition to Framework’s offerings. This could potentially be the first truly ergonomic modular laptop keyboard on the market. I’ve seen discussions on this topic from a few years ago, but I’m wondering if there have been any new developments or plans in the pipeline.
I would also love to know what the status of alternative keyboard layouts and one key module.

For the framework 16 there is some development happening. I haven’t followed the progress but it was showcased during the announce of the framework 13 pro.
For the framework 13 I would imagine it being a bigger mission since, as far as I know, there is no ‘one-key module’ for it and it would require a custom input cover as well as the keyboard.
I would be interested in a split keyboard too if it becomes available some day, maybe.
