Today video game publishers can pull the plug at any time, rendering a purchased game unplayable, even if there is no practical requirement for it to be online.
Out of this came the Stop killing games initiative, that has some ideas on what to do about this.
This is a call for EU citizens to go read and sign the European Citizen’s Initiative.
This isn’t just a petition, if it gets the signatures, lawmakers are bound by law to take some action on this. The deadline is July 31st 2025.
