Storage expansion card only works on Framework Laptop?

Yes. It’s a normal (fast) flash drive in an unusual form factor.

Do Framework's first party storage expansion cards act as flashdrives?

If I wanted to get data off my machine, Could I save what I wanted to an expansion card, take it out, and put it in any computer with normal USB C? seems like it would be neat to essentially have a 256 GB flashdrive with me at all times

I plugged a 1tB expansion card into a Galaxy Note 9. It wanted to format the device before use.

Didn’t do it, because I didn’t want to lose the data already on it.
But should work.

Same thing with a USB-A flash drive in the USB-A expansion care. The flash drive has a Fedora system on it.
