# Stripped screws

Hi, the screws you sent me immediately stripped and now I can’t take the device apart.

What type of screw is this and where can I get them in titanium?

Also please get better screws, these ones immediately stripped. And yes, I’m not sure if the screwdriver stripped, I haven’t checked, but the screws are definitely ruined I can see them with my own eyes.

This is the community forum.

If you’re talking about the screws on the FW13 bottom chassis, they are the T5 (Torx) captive screws. They don’t come off so if you’ve stripped them (as far as I’m aware) you might need to order a new bottom cover kit. But I would check with Framework support to confirm this before ordering one.

No idea, but good luck finding some, you’ll need it. Just finding regular screws conforming to all dimensions, _in small quantities,_ can often be impossible.
