An old thread on this topic might be useful: [https://community.frame.work/t/responded-bad-battery-life-high-power-draw-at-idle-and-light-use-framework-13-ryzen/44439](https://community.frame.work/t/responded-bad-battery-life-high-power-draw-at-idle-and-light-use-framework-13-ryzen/44439)

I also recommend checking what is plugged into all the expansion ports. The 7040 series has limitations on which ports are best suitable for USB-A, display, etc. Plugging in a USB-A adaptor into the wrong port can result in high power draw.

See this diagram on the restrictions: [Expansion Card Functionality on Framework Laptop 13 (AMD Ryzen™ 7040 Series)](https://knowledgebase.frame.work/en_us/expansion-card-functionality-on-framework-laptop-13-amd-ryzen-7040-series-SkrVx7gAh)
