I searched, hopefully this hasn’t been discussed already. I currently have a AMD 7040 series 13 that I bought as a complete DIY kit. I’m looking to swap the motherboard/wifi card to a 13 Pro chassis in black when I can get my hands on one.
I’m certain I still need to use the AMD 7040 driver pack for my drivers. However, will there be Any drivers I need from the 13 Pro? For example I’ll have an old motherboard but the new sound chip. How does that work out?
The 7040U mainboard is compatible with the 13 Pro chassis.
The 3.20 BIOS is needed for the haptic touchpad, touch panel, and 74W battery. However be aware, this version may brick the mainboard.
yep, all that is understood. Asking if there are any other drivers specific to the 13 Pro chassis I’ll need.

Yes. It seems highly likely that if any new drivers are needed, they will be added to an updated AMD 7040 series driver package in time for when the pro parts become available.

I’m not sure what would change. The fingerprint reader and touchpad drivers maybe ?
