The next time Framework rolls out a new model of laptop, they should ask Clevo if they'd be willing to bring this back

That which is old is new again. The saddest thing is at one time MOST tech was user-serviceable; Radio Shack wasn’t always a (dead) place to get overpriced phones and junky peripherals. Phones, MP3 players, cars, clocks and lamps - you name it, it was probably not hard to open up and look around inside. This was all a conscious effort by both companies and consumers to move away from repairing our own things in the name of “convenience and efficiency.” Supposedly.

Only question is, at this point, is it still possible to go back? FW’s made some good strides on that front, but I’d like to see them further lead the charge in some ways like you’ve mentioned here.
