# Thinking of buying a framework myself, what should i look out for?

If you use Windows, I am not sure. If you use Linux, the answer is no as a default setting, but 8 - 10 hours can be possible by tuning, according to [[TRACKING] Linux battery life tuning - #174 by Richard\_Tango-Lowy](http://community.frame.work/t/linux-battery-life-tuning/6665/174) .
