Hi! I am working on a new expansion card which I will sell by october. Previously I had made the RP2350 GPIO expansion card as a school team project, and one problem I had with manufacturing was the cost of doing double-sided assembly due to the fact that USB-C (like any other port that you can add to the traditional framework cards) is mid-mount.
Needless to say, traditional fw card enclosures won’t work with it therefore its needed to make a fully custom case. If we switch to top-mount, we either need to make screw holes lower or higher. I am for mounting the card to the case backwards and making holes higher. What do you think? Did any of you thought about it before? Shall I try this for the product, or shall I go the traditional way of mid mount connectors (and would you be willing to pay a bit higher for it still)?
