Let me add, here, the following about the tlp 1.8 beta - specifically about the battery thresholds.

Those battery thresholds require a kernel of >= 6.17 and, anyway . . has been broken by a recent Framework firmware change. (On those things, see here.)

I’m currently using fedora 42 on my amd framework 13. Should i use tuned-ppd or normal ppd? Tuned-ppd now comes by default on fedora.

Tuned-ppd has more functionality and more customizable than ppd, its competitor is tlp-pd
