Hi.

Quick question. Does anybody know if there is a relevant performance difference between Pop\_OS! and Ubuntu in regards to CPU and GPU?

Background: I am considering changing to Ubuntu, but I’ve read here and there that Pop\_OS! has significantly higher performance than Ubuntu for AMD (I don’t have any specific tasks in mind, just general performance). I’m not sure that’s true for Framework 16 though, since the officially supported OS from Framework is Ubuntu and not Pop\_OS!.

Thanks to everyone in advance.

Pop\_OS is Ubuntu LTS based so similar drivers - wouldnt expect a noticeable difference in performance.

Fredrik from the future here. I ran Geekbench tests on the machine whilst on Pop\_OS! and whilst on Ubuntu. Robert was right, there is no measurable difference in performance (at least in Geekbench).
