Hey gang, considering switching to a 155H mainboard from my 7840U mainboard due to a failed memory slot and continued issues with ungraceful restarts. I was wondering if anyone had input about how these boards are in 2026. I read online that there were issues with thermal management and overheating. Have these issues been solved? Have there been important bios updates? How has the stability been in Linux? How’s gaming?
155H has slightly better single core CPU, iGPU performance and low load power consumption. The biggest advantage is 4 thunderbolt 4 ports. The 7840U runs slightly cooler has better efficiency at full load. Both requires dual channel to get maximum iGPU performance
