My idea is, to make some use of the spacers next to the touch pad.
In my configuration, both of them are on the right, below the num pad.

Unfortunately, the num pad module uses on port for input modules, and covers a second one. I am wondering, if there is a way to fit a thin foil connector cable below the num pad.
Maybe the framework team might disclose the design of the PCB of the num pad, respectively, whether it might be possible to mill down the PCB at the position of the covered but unused port by 0.1 - 0.2mm.

I guess, this would allow for a lot more, nice and creative additions.

Here is another community member’s project utilizing the unused pins similar to your idea.

> This is very much work-in-progress but maybe it is already interesting for some of you. The design files are here but there are some errata, e.g. SPI pinout is wrong on the flex PCB: In short: We sneak a flex PCB below the macro pad to connect to the 2nd set of pogo pins. The flex PCB has pads for an RP2040-tiny board and it has the important parts of Waveshare’s adapter board for their 3.7’’ ePaper. We add a resistive touch screen and maybe an APDS-9960 gesture sensor. On the sof…
