USB A card crashing browsers?

Hello! When I plug certain devices into a USB-A expansion slot, like a webcam, it will cause my internet browsers to crash (Both Firefox and Chrome). I happens primarily when I have any kind of streaming video playing. The odd thing is, when I unplug the device from the expansion card, the browsers continue to crash, and videos won’t play. I then have to hard-restart the computer. I’ve just installed the amd 7040 series, and its been working really well for the last few months otherwise.
