I only have one wired mouse that i own because i typically dont use desktops. its a raspberry pi wired mouse. seems to universally connect to everything i own (android phones even) and it works on the back ports (both usb a and usb c with the usb c framework module adapter). but on the front, it does not. no red light turns on for the laser mouse. is this expected where the front ports are different from the back?
Check the internal type-e cable is fully connected. They don’t seem to lock into place very well.
seems to be connected just fine.
it does, that’s how I use it. can you use the same expansion card slots with other electronics?
I would reseat the connection into the motherboard, this should work. There are two, so I would go ahead and do both. I am able to plug in a wired mouse into my USB A expansion slot just fine.
reseating the connection on the board itself worked. thank you!
how did you do that?
Open the box and look for the connection to the expansion slots. They should be hooked to the motherboard right near the power supply. Yank those out, be sure to not touch any gold tips, and plug them back in. I had a previous issue with USB 3.2 drives not working, USB 2.0 worked fine, and this solved my issue.
Yep. they are connected near the power supply. yanked both out. and made sure to firmly press it in.
