Hi, I’m wondering if anyone here is still using the Intel Core 11 i7 mainboards? Does anyone else have their entire USB Tree freak out when the system heats up, or is it just me? How I know this happens is that after awhile, almost all the Expansion modules disconnect, and not even my Anker Doc will transmit Ethernet or video when this happens. I have added thermal pads to my USB C Expansion Card, but I’m trying to figure out what else could be wrong?
OS: Windows 10 Pro (Yes, fight me! lol)
Model 13, Intel Core 11th Gen Mainboard
Cards in use: USB C, USB A, and 1TB SSD Card
Anker Dock: Dock 567 (Ports: 2 DP, 1 HDMI, 2 USB 3A, 3 USB C, USB 2A, Ethernet, and Power)
That sounds like a hub chip on the motherboard is failing under temperature. Sorry to say, but only way around that is to repair/replace motherboard.

To make things stranger…. my USB C cable that connects to charging brick, it’s insulation has been coming apart, could that also be related to the temperature that it runs? Goes without saying, this old motherboard would not be worth turning into something else with the Cooler Master enclosure, right?
If that is an original Framework cable then talk to support. There is a known issue with the outer sheath fraying and exposing the inner wires. It will have nothing to do with your overheating issue.

On the motherboard, where would this hub chip be? I will ask support about the cable issue.
I don’t know, I don’t have an FL13 or list of chips, so can’t help with that.
