UT-3G case?

Looking to get an eGPU setup so I can mostly ride out the RAMPocalypse without compromising on what games I would have to get. Currently looking at the UDT-3G since it’s the only thing that explicitly supports USBv4, but there is one problem with it: it doesn’t come with an enclosure, which in my room with two cats and carpeted flooring is a no-no.

Unfortunately, all of the UDT-3G enclosures I’ve found so far do not support an ATX power supply, which is not ideal. If they did, I would be able to reuse both the GPU and the power supply down the line when RAM prices come down.

Size will be kind of an issue, as I will have a full desk to work with but don’t want half of it taken up by an eGPU dock. The only thing I’ve seen so far that might fit my use case is this, which looks like a hassle to assemble. I saw some free ones too, but they use ITX power supplies, which rules them out for me.

Did I miss some case that would be easier to assemble and less restrictive in what power supply it accepts?

If I put this in the wrong forum please let me know.

Did a quick search and came across this one:

Although it uses an ATX Flex PS which may not be enough power for what card inteded to be ran in the eGPU setup.

It is a cool looking design. Surprised there have not been more for the UDT devices; they are pretty popular.

Already found a descendant of that one. Unfortunately, an ATX power supply is a hard requirement.

That being said, looking at this gave me an idea: maybe instead of an all-in-one case, combining that design with a shroud would give me what I want.
