Very sensitive touchpad after suspend on Linux Mint

I’m running Linux Mint on my framework laptop and sometimes after coming back from sleep the touchpad is very sensitive and causes the cursor to shoot across the screen with very small movements. Has anyone else experienced this? Any way to fix?

My Kernel is 5.15.0-52-generic and I’m using linux mint 21.

If you ever experience an issue where the touchpad becomes hypersensitive (motion) and multitouch gestures fail after resuming from suspend – happens to me occasionally – do this sudo rmmod hid_multitouch sudo modprobe hid_multitouch I don’t have any clue why this kind of thing would happen, but just leaving the workaround here in case someone Googles for it! I’m running Ubuntu 21.10 with Cinnamon.
