# WebCam USB Cable

The new WebCam with 9.2MP [OV08X](https://www.ovt.com/products/ov08x/) sensor is awesome. I would like to use it on my monitor.

Is there a cable to connect the Webcam Module (2nd Gen) to USB?

No cable you can buy. Framework hasn’t made one available, nor has any community member as of yet. Some have talked about it.

The pinout is available on Framework’s github. For just the camera / video it’s rather straightforward. Just need a board with an FFC connector for the camera side, a usb connector, and a 3.3v regulator, as the camera uses 3.3 iirc. To get audio would require a microcontroller, the microphone is just i2c I believe.
